Tier 4 Point Base System for student of Bangladesh
The fourth tier of the new points based UK immigration service focuses upon overseas students who wish to gain entry clearance to study in the UK. Tier 4 visas replace the UK student visa service and place more emphasis upon the responsibility of the educational body in question for the applicants they permit to study. The aim of this tier immigration service is to provide a more user-friendly, transparent route to studying in the UK.

Duration:
Students will be granted leave to enter the UK for the purposes of completing their course at a specified institution. Educational institution obligations:

What is GMAT
The Graduate Management Admission Test is a Standardized test that measures verbal, mathematical and analytical writing skills. It is intended to help the graduate schools of business assess the potential of applicants for advanced study in business and management. Nearly 900 management institutes all over the world (almost all of them in the US) require GMAT scores from each applicant. The GMAT tests the fundamental skills - Reasoning and Comprehension included - and does not require any subject-specific theoretical study.
The test is designed in such a way that it would be unlike any other test you would have taken at school or college. First, the test has no question paper or answer sheets, nor does it have the same set of questions for all the examinees. Further, it does not give you the option of not answering a question (unless, of course, you run out of time at the end). All this because the GMAT is now an entirely Computer based test - the keyboard and mouse do the work of a pen or pencil. The test is scored out of 800 (in multiples of 10), and most scores fall in the range of 500-600. However, a score of even 800 is not unheard of!
The GMAT test is only one of several parameters which the graduate schools look at to determine the selection of an applicant. A high score alone does not translate into an admission offer from a great school. But the test can be looked upon as the first major hurdle to be cleared in the process of getting admission into a B-school of your choice.
Who administers the GMAT
The GMAT test is developed and administered by the US-based Pearson VUE under the direction of the Graduate Management Admission Council (GMAC), a non-profit organization of graduate business schools worldwide. This implies that Pearson VUE conducts the test, and sends each examinee the score report. For the conduct of the test, Pearson VUE has appointed testing centers in various countries.
When is the GMAT held
TAll-round-the-year. Unlike other exams, you can choose your own date and time for taking the GMAT! The test is administered in the above cities five-days-a-week (Monday through Friday), twice-a-day. September to December is the high season for GMAT, so in case you intend to take the test during this period, you need to register very early (say 90 days in advance) to get a date of your choice. Otherwise, registering at least 15 days in advance is mandatory. The GMAT test lasts roughly four hours, and most centres offer two slots : 9 A.M. and 2 P.M.
Eligibility and Fees

The Scoring Pattern in GMAT CAT
The GMAT test results comprise four different scores : a total score (which is the combined verbal and quantitative scores), a separate Verbal score, a separate Quantitative score, and an Analytical Writing score. The total score is reported on a scale from 200 to 800. The Verbal and Quantitative Scores are reported on a scale of 0 to 60. For the AWA score, the scale is from 0 to 6. Note that your AWA performance is not reflected in your total GMAT score (on 800). You get to know your total, verbal, and quantitative score immediately after taking the test. Official GMAT score reports, which include the AWA scores, are mailed approximately two weeks after you take the test and take another ten days or so to reach your address.

Admission

Candidates have to appear in admission test for eligibility. Nominee of international funding agencies and WHO fellows and armed forces come through their respective selection authority and embassy.
Admission test takes place at last Friday of every March and application are invited in January. Academic session is started from July.

Admission requirements
a) Academic: MBBS or its equivalent plus one year in-service training is the basic requirement for all the courses. However, three courses namely M. Phil (PSM), MPH (HM) and MPH (HP & HE) allow Bachelor of Dental Surgery (BDS) and Master degrees. In addition MPH (HP & HE) also allows B. Sc. Nursing.
b) Service experience: Service experience of working in government and non-government health facilities of varying length is required for admission in different courses.

Duration of courses:

MPH courses are of one-year duration.
M. Phil course is of two years duration.

Tuition fees:

1. Tuition fees for Government candidates shall be deemed to have paid by the government;
2. Tuition fees for the courses shall be Tk.10,000/- (Taka ten thousands only) for all MPH courses. For M. Phil (PSM) shall be Tk.15,000/- (Taka fifteen thousands only) for Bangladeshi private candidates;
3. Students from countries other than Bangladesh shall pay tuition fee in foreign exchange, at a US$ 2000/- (USD two thousands only).
4. Tuition fees once deposited shall not be refundable;
5. Each candidate shall be required to deposit caution money of Tk.2,000/- (Taka two thousands only) which is refundable;

Graduates in any subject (2 years after H.S.C or 4 years after S.S.C) from a recognized university, college or institution are eligible for admission. Persons having diploma in any branch of engineering subsequently having completed AMIE are also eligible to apply.
Interested participants need to apply in the prescribed form along with attested copies of certificates/testimonials, and 2 copies of passport size photographs.

Applications should reach the Chairman, Executive Committee of Diploma Courses, BIM, 4, Sobhanbag, Mirpur Road, Dhaka-1207 within the specified time.
Admission forms may be obtained from BIM offices personally or by mail enclosing a Taka six stamp affixed pre-addressed envelope. As seats are limited, applicants may be asked to appear before a Selection Board.

Generally, eighty percent of the seats are filled by the candidates nominated by their employers, while the rest are fresh graduates or equivalent, intending to undertake a career either in Personnel, Industrial, Financial, Marketing Management or Computer Science. ADMISSION
Admission requirements:The applicant (national and international) to the Post- Graduate Diploma programme must be graduated from any reputed national or international university with medical or social science background. The successful PG Diploma holders and a few Honours/ Masters degree holders in Economics or the Business School having substantial courses in Economics are eligible to apply for the Masters programme. As both the Diploma and Masters programmes are full time and classes are carried out during daytime, service holders are required to take leave or at least take permission from the authority to enroll in these programmes. There is a provision for enrollment of five international students in each programme, if they fulfill the requirements for enrollment to the respective programme.Enrolment to M. Phil. or Ph. D. programme is guided by the central regulations of the University of Dhaka.
Process of admission
The seats are distributed among medical and non-medical students by 50%, and 30% seats are reserved for the female students. To enroll in the PostGraduate Diploma programme, students need to appear for both written examination (90 marks) and viva-voce (10 marks) examination. The written examination includes general knowledge, mathematics, and English.To enroll in the Masters programme, students need to appear for written examination (95 marks) and viva-voce (5 marks) examination. The written examination includes general economics, mathematics, statistics, general knowledge/English language.

SELECTION PROCESS
The selection process of the students for the program
is as follows:
All applicants, fulfilling the minimum requirement, sit for
